Kantara: Chapter 1 is an upcoming Indian Kannada-language period action thriller film set during the rule of Kadambas of Banavasi written and directed by Rishab Shetty, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur, under Hombale Films. It is a predecessor to the 2022 film Kantara. The film stars Rishab Shetty as Kaadubettu Shiva.
Filming began in November 2023 and the film is set for release in late 2024. The first look and trailer were released on 27 November 2023. The publicity poster is created by Kaani Studio. B. Ajaneesh Loknath created the soundtrack and background score.
