Naga Chaitanya – Thandel is about a fisherman who wandered into Pakistani waters
Naga Chaitanya’s next release is Thandel which is being directed by Chandoo Mondeti. Sai Pallavi is the female lead. In a recent interview, the actor shared some interesting details about the romantic drama, which also has a patriotic touch. Naga Chaitanya said that Thandel is based on the real-life story of Raju, who wandered into Pakistani waters and spent nearly two years in Jail before returning to India.
The actor further stated, “I spent nine months preparing for the role. It’s such an inspirational story. I want to make sure I get everything right, especially the Srikakulam accent. I went to Raju’s house, and his bravery and determination took me by surprise. I spent time with fishermen to understand their struggles. Thandel is the biggest film of my career, and I needed that role.”
Bunny Vas is producing Thandel under the banner of GA2 Pictures. Esteemed producer Allu Arvind is the presenter. Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad is composing the tunes. The makers are planning to release the film on December 20, 2024.
