Pushpa 2: The Rule is an upcoming action drama film in the Indian language, produced by Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar under their Mythri Movie Makers brand. The film is being directed and written by Sukumar under his own banner, Sukumar Writings. In addition to the ensemble cast, which includes Allu Arjun in the lead role, there are cameos from the previous movie including Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Dhananjaya, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Rao Ramesh, Ajay, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Shanmukh, and Ajay Ghosh. It is the follow-up to Pushpa: The Rise and the second movie in the Pushpa film series.

Ten percent of the movie’s footage was first recorded immediately after the first one. Nevertheless, Sukumar changed the plot, and as a result, main filming for the movie started in October 2022. With a ₹500 crore budget, it’s one of the priciest Indian movies ever made. The release date is set for August 15, 2024, which also happens to be India’s Independence Day.

“Pushpa: The Rule” is the much anticipated follow-up to the 2021 hit film. In “Pushpa: The Rule,” Allu Arjun will play the legendary laborer-turned-don Pushpa once more. Also making a comeback is Rashmika Mandana as Srivalli, Pushpa’s romantic interest. Sanjay Dutt and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who wowed in the first installment’s dance routine “Ooh Anta Va,” will be making cameo cameos in the film.
