Razakar, which is also known as Razakar: The Silent Genocide Of Hyderabad, is an Indian epic historical action-drama film released in 2024 in the Telugu language. It was written and directed by Yata Satyanarayana and is based on the events that led to Operation Polo in what used to be the Princely state of Hyderabad. Gudur Narayana Reddy is making the movie under the name Samarveer Creation LLP.It came out on March 15, 2024.
The movie got bad reviews for how it was put together, how it supported the right-wing Hindutva storyline, and how it changed the facts of history, like how it didn’t show that Muslims were killed in the Hyderabad massacres.
Synopsis
The movie shows the fight in what used to be the state of Hyderabad after India got its freedom on August 15, 1947. The British Hyderabad State was still ruled by the Nizam for another year, while the rest of the country enjoyed freedom and independence. People were ruled over by the cruel Razakars during this time. The movie shows the horrible things the Nizams and Razakars did out of religious fanaticism and the brave things the heroes did to fight them.

The film was shot at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad and various other places in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana.
Reception
The South First rated with 2.5/5 stars and added that it supports “right-wing Hindutva narrative”. The Times Now has given 3.5/5 rating and stated that the movie “is a bold attempt to delve into a sensitive historical topic
