Vivek Athreya is the writer and director of Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, a forthcoming Telugu-language vigilante action movie produced by DVV Entertainment. The title translates to “Is Saturday not enough?” Nani plays the lead role in the movie, costarring with S. J. Suryah and Priyanka Mohan.
Since it’s Nani’s 31st movie in which she plays the lead, the movie was first formally announced in October 2023 under the working title #Nani31. A few days later, the official title was revealed. The following month, principal photography got underway. Currently, it’s being filmed in multiple legs, mostly in Hyderabad. Jakes Bejoy wrote the film’s music, while Karthika Srinivas handled the editing and Murali G. handled the photography.
On August 29, 2024, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram—which will also have dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada under the title Surya’s Saturday—would be released in theaters in the Telugu language.

Development
After Ante Sundaraniki (2022), Vivek Athreya and Nani were rumored to be getting back together in late May 2023. It’s Nani’s thirty-first picture in a leading part. The project, provisionally dubbed Nani31, was formally revealed by DVV Entertainment on October 21.On October 23, the title, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, was made public.The cast and crew of the movie attended a muhurtam pooja ceremony on October 24, 2023, in Hyderabad.
Casting
S. J. Suryah and Priyanka Mohan joined the cast in October 2023.Initially, Jakes Bejoy, Murali G, and Karthika Srinivas were named as the film’s soundtrack composer, cinematographer, and editor, respectively. G. V. Prakash Kumar and Anirudh Ravichander were also under consideration.
Filming In Hyderabad, principal photography started in November 2023 and concluded later the same month. In late December 2023, the second schedule got underway.
Music
In his first joint effort with Nani and Athreya, Jakes Bejoy composed the background score and music. Sony Music India obtained the audio rights.

On August 29, 2024, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, along with its dubbed counterparts in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, all titled Surya’s Saturday, would premiere in Telugu.
