Romeo is an Indian Tamil-language love comedy drama movie released in 2024. It was written and directed by Vinayak Vaithianathan, who also produced the movie. Vijay Antony and Mirnalini Ravi play the main parts in the movie. Barath Dhanasekar and Ravi Royster, who were both new to the business, wrote the music and background score. Farook J. Basha and Vijay Antony himself shot and edited the movie. The movie was filmed in Malaysia, Bangkok, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Tenkasi, and Mahabalipuram. Romeo came out in theaters on April 11, 2024, during Ramzan. It got mixed to positive reviews from reviewers.

Story
Arivazhagan “Arivu” is a Malaysia return, who falls in love with Leelavathi “Leela”, hailing from the same town as him. Leela’s family agrees to Arivu’s request to marry her, which makes Leela unhappy because she is a struggling actor and is trying to hide this from her controlling family. Leela has to agree, though, because getting married is the only way for her to move back to the city and follow her dream. She and her friends plan to take advantage of Arivu’s lack of guilt. They tell him that she will only marry him if he agrees to move to Chennai. He agrees to the condition because he loves her so much. As soon as Arivu gets to Chennai, her friends try to stop her from seeing Leela.But, Arivu soon wins her friends’ hearts over with his kindness and care. Fearing Arivu might use them to get close to her, she asks them to leave and lets Arivu know that she is going to file for a divorce. He is heartbroken by this and goes to a bar with his uncle where he meets it’s boss with whose help he calls Leela from a fake number under the name ‘Vikram’. Leela soon builds a friendship with ‘Vikram’.Vikram aka Arivu admits to Leela that he is afraid of fire. Leela later gets a chance to debut in a film with her friend as the director. But during the meeting with the producer he misbehaves with her and on knowing this ‘Vikram’ thrashes the producer. He then chooses to help Leela and her friends by offering to produce their film on the condition that he gets to act as the hero. Leela, originally refusing, later accepts the offer after the pleas of her friends. Her knowing the truth and how it affects their relationship forms the rest of the story.
